The Wessex TR Tilt-Deck Transporters represent the ultimate in loadability. The front of the platform is raised from the A-frame by a hydraulic ram (manually pumped) transforming the whole deck into a gentle ramp.The TRTG166 maintains an extremely low centre of gravity by having the wheels on the outside, and provides a level platform, 6 ft wide, with a very low load angle. The low 7 in sides are an integral part of the monocoque chassis, giving an advantage that can be measured in pay-load.The TRTD167-35 has a full width 7 ft deck with the wheels positions underneath giving a clear load area. A 'Beavertail' tapers the four feet at the tail of the deck to minimise load angle. The hinged tail-flap, made of Alloy treadplate and a galvanised steel frame, forms a ramp extension for smooth loading and acts as a tailgate in the transport position. It can also be folded right over to lay flat on the tail section of the deck.
