Wessex Livestock trailers are all designed to comply with the Welfare of Animals (Transport) order 1997, for humane movement of livestock, but also go beyond this to achieve trailers that tow exceptionally well and have inherent longevity.The rigid bodied twin axle Wessex livestock trailers are available at 8 ft and 10 ft long by 5 ft wide, or 10 ft and 12 ft long by 5 ft 8 in wide. With the wheels on the outside, the deck height is minimised for easier loading, but the centre of gravity is also lower for greater stability.The floor is constructed of treated timber, 32 mm thick, overlaid with Alloy treadplate. The sides and front are of smooth 2.0mm aluminium sheet attached to rigid hoops. The roof is galvanised steel, with a plastic coating.The WLT1258X (pictured lower right) is the high roof version, giving 7 ft headroom for larger animals.
